Naftna industrija Hrvatska (INA) has introduced a temporary limit on fuel purchases of a maximum of 300 litres per transaction. This measure applies throughout the Republic of Croatia, with the aim of maintaining supply continuity and preventing potential market disruptions.
Exceptions to this rule apply to petrol stations located alongside motorways, where the limit will not apply. According to unofficial information, the measure will not be enforced at INA stations in marinas either. At locations in Zagreb, including INA and Petrol petrol stations, drivers were greeted by afternoon notices regarding the new restriction.
The reasons for this decision lie in increased demand due to the tourist season and growing uncertainty on international energy markets. INA has taken this measure to ensure fuel is available to as many customers as possible and to achieve an even distribution of resources.
The Rijeka oil refinery continues to operate stably and continuously, producing sufficient quantities of petrol, diesel, and jet fuel. INA emphasises that it holds adequate reserves to supply the market under normal operating conditions, enabling the uninterrupted functioning of the supply chain.
The company is actively monitoring developments on the international energy market and demand trends at its retail locations. Based on this data, INA will adjust its retail policy and operational measures to current circumstances to ensure supply stability.
