American football star Travis Kelce, of the NFL team the Kansas City Chiefs, for the first time publicly called his wife Taylor his "wife" during a short interview at his team's training in Missouri. This move confirmed the status of his recent marriage, which took place in July, with details of the ceremony revealed in an interview with the press.

The wedding took place on 3 July at the famous Madison Square Garden in New York, a venue described by Kelce as the "mecca of sports arenas". The player stated that it was "cool" to realise his childhood dream of a wedding in this specific space, with the whole night described as "the best night of his life" and as "crazy". The ceremony was conducted by actor Adam Sandler, who added a special touch to the event.

Although the wedding was held in private with no official photographs of the ceremony published, among the guests were many notable guests. Actors Hugh Grant and Jason Sudeikis, singer Benson Boone and model Gigi Had were present. Kelce thanked all the guests who came and celebrated with them, highlighting the importance of their support in that moment.

In the context of sporting obligations, Kelce revealed that he wanted to attend a game by the New York Knicks during their successful play-off, but could not as other obligations tied him to training camp. His wife Taylor Swift went to the game, which was able to enjoy the basketball event while Travis was stuck in training with the Chiefs.
