How our articles are produced and which checks they pass is described on the About us page.

This page covers the other half: what we do not publish, and why. These rules apply to everyone equally and are not a judgement of the person who contacts us.

We publish

  • news based on a source we can name and link to — official institutional announcements and media sources
  • previews and reports from events in the places we cover
  • service information: traffic, weather, roadworks, supply interruptions
  • sponsored content, always visibly labelled and kept apart from editorial selection

We do not publish

Personal statements and responses as articles.The portal is not a place for personal announcements. An individual’s statement is published only as part of a reported story, alongside other sources.

Claims we cannot verify. Every statement in an article must have a source we can cite. What we cannot substantiate we do not publish — neither as a quotation nor hedged as an allegation.

Claims about identifiable people who cannot respond. Where a text accuses or describes an individual, that person is entitled to reply. If we cannot obtain one, the text does not run.

Personal accounts of court or police proceedings.We report cases from official announcements and from media sources we cite. A participant’s recollection or interpretation is not a source we can verify — not even when it comes from someone who was there.

Anonymous accusations. A tip-off may be anonymous; publication may not.

Unprotected personal data. Addresses, contact details, health and financial information, and data concerning children and minors are not published without a clear public interest.

Content that insults or incites hatred against a person or a group.

Unlabelled promotional text. Promotional content is published only as sponsored content, with a label and the name of the client.
