The South African side Cheetahs will play their home games in the European Challenge Cup at St Helen's stadium, the BBC reported. St Helen's is the home of the Welsh club Ospreys, and Cheetahs will host Dragons on Sunday, 13 December, and Perpignan on Sunday, 17 January.

Both Cheetahs' matches are scheduled on the day following Ospreys' home matches in the same competition. Cheetahs have traditionally used Europe as a base for matches, with the 2025-26 season set to take place in Amsterdam.

The majority owner of Ospreys is Y11 Sports & Media, which has an investment interest in Cheetahs, with players moving between the two clubs. The first match at the renovated St Helen's is expected to be a Welsh derby in the United Rugby Championship (URC) against Dragons on Saturday, 24 October.

Ospreys' chief executive Richard Lancaster said they were grateful to the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) for allowing the matches to be played at St Helen's. He said they were excited to host Toyota Cheetahs in two EPCR Challenge Cup matches, noting that a strong relationship already exists between the two clubs. According to him, having their own ground gives them the opportunity to bring additional top-class rugby and events to Swansea.
