The four categories of NK Abecida competed in the 1. DNL over the weekend, with matches played at the 'Miro Surać' sports centre in Murvić. The hosts welcomed their counterparts from NK GOŠK Kaštel, with the outcome being four victories and a total of 19 goals scored.
The under-15s and the under-17s played in the sixth round, while the cadets and juniors played in the third round. The youngest players took to the pitch first, winning 4-0. In the first half, Stipe Marina scored in the third minute and Tomo Džaja in the 32nd minute. In the second half, an own goal was scored in the 39th minute, followed by a goal from Matea Vanjaka in the 61st minute. The goalkeepers of Abecida, Nikola Kulaš and Gašpar Ninčević, kept their goal net clean. With the fourth victory, the team led by coach Jure Perko moved up to 12 points, with the young players currently sitting in fourth place on the league table.
The older juniors secured their sixth consecutive victory with six different scorers. Mihael Miletić scored two goals in the 51st and 57th minutes, while Anton Škara, Kristian Garm, Šime Ivčević, Josip Brkljača, and Lovre Zrili each scored once, for a final score of 7-1. The honorary goal was scored by Ante Keran in the 62nd minute. With a maximum of 18 points, the team led by coach Andrija Pilipović is at the top of the 1. DNL after six rounds. In the next round, the team will face a trip to the home of J. Dr. in Kaštel Sućurci.
The cadets defeated GOŠK 3-1. The guests from Kaštela took the lead in the 11th minute with a goal by Karlo Sučić, but Karlo Pašeta turned the match around with a hat-trick — the first goal was scored in the 26th minute, the second in the 42nd, and the third in the 65th. With seven points in three matches, the team led by Rožko Prtenja is in second place in the 1. DNL, in the company of Zmaj and Junak, but behind the only perfect Dugopolje. In the first half of the match, the guests three times took the lead. Borne Vukčić scored in the 7th minute for 0-1, David Maroš in the 16th minute for 1-2, and Borne Vukčić again in the 32nd minute for 2-3. Jakov Maruna equalized in the 9th and 26th minutes, while Lovre Župan scored 3-3 in the 43rd minute. Karlo Lučić scored two goals in the 55th and 80th minutes, giving the home team a 5-3 lead, while Niko Čović scored in the 81st minute for a final 5-4. The second consecutive victory brought the team to six points. In the 4th round, the cadets and juniors of Abecida will travel to Vranjic to play against Omaldinac.
