Amalia Romić has submitted her resignation from the post of director at the Maslac kindergarten in Županja. The reason for the resignation was personal, and the decision was made following a discussion with her family. The resignation was officially handed to the head of the Department for the Mayor's Office, Petra Buljevića, last Friday.

Buljević, who serves as the president of the Maslac Board, received the documentation for Romić's departure. Although appointed to the head of the kindergarten just five months ago, she will continue in her role until 1 September. During this period, she is responsible for preparing all necessary activities for the start of the new academic year.

Following the end of the term, Amalia Romić will return to her position as an educator at the same kindergarten. The city of Županja, as the founder, has already indicated the steps for filling the vacant position. On 1 September, an acting director will be appointed, who will temporarily lead the institution.

The board of the Maslac kindergarten unanimously proposed Romić for the director's position in a five-year term, which was then confirmed by the mayor, Damir Juzbaš. The current situation requires a prompt response for a permanent solution. Within a month, a public tender will be issued for the selection of a new director.
