In the 2025-26 season, Chelsea scored one goal more and conceded one goal more than in the 2015-16 campaign. Despite these minor deviations, the goal difference remained the same. The club scored two points more in the current season than ten years ago, placing it slightly higher in the table, although it was also positioned in the middle of the table back then.
Ten years ago, Chelsea was 31 points behind the champions, Leicester, and sat below Southampton, West Ham, and Stoke. The results at that time were under the guidance of interim manager Guus Hiddink.
Antonio Conte introduced tactical changes to Chelsea that brought success. After a 3-0 defeat to Arsenal in the sixth match of the season, Conte switched the team to a three-man defence. This tactical change resulted in a streak of 13 consecutive victories, taking the club to the English title a year after finishing 10th.
