Hull City manager Sergej Jakirović held a press conference ahead of his club's match against Everton, during which he also commented on the Hajduk-Dinamo derby, which takes place on Saturday at Poljud at 15:00. Everton's match is scheduled for Sunday at 15:00.
Jakirović stated that the Dinamo-Hajduk fixture brings significant pressure and that everyone has high expectations, as Dinamo are the best team in Croatia. He emphasised that a very good performance will be required for a victory, but also noted that the atmosphere will be excellent. He expects Dinamo to win.
Jakirović is a former Dinamo manager, having previously guided Gorica and Rijeka in the Croatian league. He managed Zagreb-based Dinamo for one season, 2023/2024, winning the double.
His Hull City are currently eighth with eight points. The club started with two wins and two draws, including a victory over Manchester United. They took one point each against Chelsea and Aston Villa, while their only defeat came against Newcastle in the final round before the long international break.
