Petar Sučić, the Croatian international and former Dinamo midfielder, is dissatisfied with his minutes at Inter and is reportedly seeking a new contract and a pay rise. The situation is becoming a problem for the club due to his limited role in Cristian Chivu’s squad, as reported by FC Inter 1908.

Sučić has expressed his dissatisfaction with the minutes, and reports have emerged that he has set out specific demands for the club’s management. His agent believes it is time for a contract review. His current salary is around €1.5 million per year, which places him among the lower-paid players in the squad. Sučić wants his status to improve, similar to the case with Piò Esposito.

This season, Sučić has made just five appearances in the league and Champions League, of which he started only twice. Among the midfielders, only Dejan Stanković, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Çalhanoglu have played fewer minutes, with the latter not having played since mid-September due to an adductor injury. Last season, Sučić played 50 matches, in half of which he was a starter, and his first season in Milan was a solid adaptation.

Sučić had hoped to secure more playing time this season, but this has not yet happened as the competition in midfield at Inter is extremely strong. The competition has been further intensified by the arrival of Curtis Jones, with manager Cristian Chivu often rotating the squad. Sučić receives little playing time as a result.

Zvonimir Boban has publicly advised Sučić to seek a club where he will have a more prominent role. Sučić stated: "In two or three months we will see what the situation is like," which is interpreted as a clear warning to the management.

Inter is currently in the midst of contract extension negotiations with key players such as Carlos Augusto, Federico Dimarco, Hakan Çalhanoglu, and Alessandro Bastoni, and it is likely that Sučić will be next in line. For the Inter management, the situation is not yet alarming as Sučić has a long-term contract valid until 2030. However, the situation could become complicated if his dissatisfaction with the minutes continues, and the club is aware that a new issue has arisen which will need to be resolved in the future.
