Zadar’s players defeated Virtus in the Sutinska Vrele venue with a score of 87-56 in the final match of the third round of the Croatian championship. The visitors set the pace from the start and effectively settled the question of the winner in the first half of the match.

After the first quarter, Zadar led by 27-10, and the lead increased further by half-time. The second period ended with a score of 21-12, taking the Zadar players to the break with a significant lead. The third quarter brought a more balanced game, ending with a score of 21-18, while the final quarter went to the visitors with a score of 18-16.

The most effective individual in the match was Andro Mirčeta, who, with 20 points, led Zadar to a convincing victory. In the ranks of Virtus, the best was Mate Kaljanić with 18 points, but this was not enough for the home team to avoid a heavy defeat.

The Zagreb team thus rounded off a challenging schedule, as they had a match in Belgrade on Sunday. Despite this, in Sutinska Vrelna they appeared fresh and focused, which was reflected in the final score and a difference of 31 points.

The match was the last in the series of the third round of the Croatian championship, thus rounding off this competitive weekend. Zadar secured a victory that further solidified their position, while Virtus remained behind the home crowd.
