At the solemn session of the Municipal Council, in commemoration of the Day of the Municipality of Mikleuš, awards were presented to individuals and companies for their work and effort. The awards were presented in several categories, with business people, a religious figure, local administration, a development agency and a Member of Parliament among the recipients.
The companies Gornji Bak (Gornji Bak), Pilana Jaklić (Pilana Jaklić), Limarija Sabo (Limbi Sabo) and Obrt za građevinske usluge Paulin (Paulin Construction) received the certificates. The certificate for long-term dedication and contribution to the religious and social life of the community was awarded to the retired priest from Mikleuš, the Reverend Marijan Pavlović.
The gold plaque was awarded to Željko Felbar for his outstanding contribution to the preservation and promotion of the life of the community through the recording and documentation of important events. The same plaque was awarded to Donja Stubica, in recognition of the 30-year friendship. The Development Agency of the County of Zagreb (Zagreb County Development Agency) also received a gold plaque, for its long-standing successful cooperation and support in the preparation and implementation of projects. The MP Vesna Bedek received the gold plaque, in recognition of her long-standing selfless support and dedication to the realisation of the Municipality's goals.
On behalf of the laureates and all the mayors, the Mayor of Donja Stubica, Nikola Gospočić, addressed the audience. He expressed his special gratitude for the gold plaque, which is of great significance to his town, and praised the work of the Municipality of Mikleuš.
Gospin said that the Municipality of Mikleuš is a small municipality with a modest budget, but that it should be admired for what it achieves with such little money and a small number of people in the Unified Administrative Department. He added that they are proud to have been friends for 30 years with such worthy and dedicated people, with a small but great-hearted community. He said that it is a great honour to receive the gold plaque, which is a motivation for them to be even stronger in their joint cooperation and friendship.
