The Beer Days officially began on the Karlovac Promenade and at other locations around the city, with the event running for the next five days. The official launch was marked by the traditional drinking of a mug of beer, attended by representatives of Heineken Croatia led by CEO Maud Meijboom van Wel, Mayor Damir Mandić, and County Prefect Martina Furdek Hajdin.
The programme was rich in sports and cultural content. A strong basketball tournament was held at Šanc, which included the U21 Croatian Championship, while the same venue also hosted a meeting of 'Buba' classic cars from six European countries. Young fans were warmed up by the performance of young singer Bejbe.
Visitors could enjoy various activities in the 'Karlin' corner, where quizzes, a photo booth, a wheel of fortune game, and prize draws were on the agenda. A special attraction was the fountain in the town square from which free beer flowed, allowing locals and their guests to drink beer by the stylised fountain.
The main event of the evening was Severina's concert, which started with a bang. During the performance, there was a fault with the sound system, but after a short break, the concert continued. Minea will perform in the gastro corner at 22:30.
