A serious traffic accident occurred on Friday in the early afternoon on the A3 motorway. The incident took place on the 190th kilometre of the southbound carriageway, specifically at the Lužani interchange, in the direction of Lipovac between the Nova Gradiška and Slavonski Brod Zapad interchanges. Two vehicles were involved in the collision, and the Brod-Posavina County Police Administration confirmed the incident.

The consequences of the crash are severe, with one child killed. Several people were injured, their conditions ranging from serious to minor. One seriously injured person was taken to the Intensive Care Unit of the General Hospital in Slavonski Brod. This individual is undergoing treatment for serious injuries and is currently in a stable condition.

Two people with minor injuries were also treated at the General Hospital in Slavonski Brod. To ensure adequate care and support, all injured persons will be provided with psychological assistance. The accident investigation is still ongoing, with police gathering all necessary data regarding the causes and circumstances of the event.

Due to the accident, significant congestion has occurred on this section of the motorway. Drivers are advised to drive slowly, and a vehicle queue 4 kilometres long has formed. The situation on the road is under control, and traffic authorities are working to restore normal traffic flow as soon as possible following the conclusion of the investigation.
