Atletski klub Rika from Kastv secured a notable performance at the Croatian short trail championships held on Bilogora, where they won the titles in the men's and women's team categories. In addition to the team trophies, the club members also secured three individual medals.
The track on which the battles for the medals took place was 44 kilometers long with 1,600 meters of elevation gain. In the men's category, the fastest was Josip Meštrić, who won with a time of 3:14:42, thus becoming the Croatian champion. His result led the AK Rika men's team to first place with a total time of 10:41:54.
In addition to Meštrić, the team consisted of Eric Stipić, who finished sixth with a time of 3:37:20, Luka Nedeljk in 12th place with 3:49:52, Teo Zonta in 17th place with 3:56:12, and Marko Velčić in 19th place with 3:59:51. In the women's category, Marta Močinić won silver with a time of 4:07:30, while Mirjana Kreković took bronze with 4:09:22. Their performance brought AK Rika the team title in the women's category with a total time of 13:07:46. Dorotea Vlah finished in 14th place with a time of 4:50:54, and Ana Mihalić in 15th place with the same time.
On the short track of the Croatian trail league, 22 kilometers long with 700 meters of elevation gain, Đino Gajski won on the Srna track with a time of 1:46:45. In the junior category, Gabrijel Solenički took second place on the Vjeverica track, while Milan Mišić and Ivan Mišić took 11th and 15th places respectively in the under-18 category. Mila Mišić was the fifth junior, and Lena Mišić the sixth. On the long track, Anna Kratki took sixth place in the women's category, while Enes Brkić and Anton Šegarić made their debut for AK Rika.
In the men's team standings, second place went to SRK Running Fox from Poreč with a time of 11:07:13, and third to AK Biokovo Running Club from Makarska with 11:40:23. In the women's team standings, second place went to AK Fit from Zaprešić with 13:13:25, and third to KAS Cetina Adventure from Sinj with 14:24:54. AK Rika organises numerous trail races, including the Ultra trail Učka.
