Novak Djokovic won the ATP 500 title in Beijing for the seventh time, after Alex de Minaur withdrew from the final due to injury, with Djokovic leading 7-6 (3), 0-1. Djokovic returned to the Beijing tournament after 11 years, continuing his perfect 34-win streak.

The final was marked by a battle in the first set, with both players missing several break points. The outcome was decided in the tie-break, where Djokovic was dominant, winning 7-3. Following the first set, both players sought medical attention, but de Minaur withdrew at the start of the second set.

Djokovic reached the title by defeating Alexander Zverev in the quarter-finals and Daniil Medvedev in the semi-finals. With this victory, he maintained a perfect 34-0 record, securing his 102nd ATP title. This was his first title of 2026.

This marked Djokovic's seventh visit to the Beijing tournament. Two years ago, he won the Olympic title in Paris, while last year he triumphed in Athens and Geneva.

De Minaur now has a 11-1 record in final matches. He has won 11 ATP titles, but has lost 11 final matches.
