Croatian representatives Vito Košar, Ivan Bertić and Blaž Kršelj competed at the IFMA Senior All Disciplines 2026, the world championship in Thai boxing held in the Kosovan town of Peć. All three fighters are from Zaprešić, competing under the guidance of coach Mario Košar.

Vito Košar, a Croatian representative, reached the top of the world in the elite senior category up to 86 kilograms. In the final match, he defeated Mahdi Abdi after three rounds, thereby confirming his status as one of the best fighters in his category. Koš had previously become IFSA senior world champion after winning gold in 2024 in Greece, thus completing a series of outstanding results.

Ivan Bertić, a fighter for KTB Taxin Zaprešić, won gold in the up to 91 kilograms category. This confirmed his quality on the world stage, where he had already achieved notable results. Bertić is, in fact, the world vice-champion in Thai boxing after winning silver in 2025 in Turkey, making this year’s title even more significant.

Blaž Krš, also from Zapreš, won bronze in the U 24 age group in the up to 81 kilograms category. His result complements the successful performance of the Zapreš fighters at this prestigious competition.

Ko and B were crowned WAKO world champions in kickboxing in 2025, once again confirming their versatility and dominance in combat sports. Their results at the 2026 IFSA World Championships are a continuation of a series of outstanding achievements under the guidance of coach Mario Ko.
