Mayor Denis Ivanović received Tin Sabljić, a member of the Uni-Rest Kickboxing Club, at the city hall. Sabljić, who secured bronze at the world championship for young age groups in Jesolo, Italy, was the focus of the meeting.

Sabin competed in the junior division, in the full contact discipline, in the weight category above 91 kilograms. He arrived at the reception accompanied by trainer Ivana Tadić and club president Miljen Šarac.

Mayor Ivanović highlighted the consistent results of Uni-Rest and its contribution to local sport. He noted that the club is a frequent guest at the city hall, one of the clubs that brings numerous medals, including those from world championships.

"I sincerely congratulate Tin on his third place in the world. Kaštela is a city of sport, and as a municipality, we will continue to support all sports in our area," said Ivanović.

During the reception, discussions also covered the conditions of the club. President Miljen Šarac stated that they were satisfied with the conditions in the renovated hall, which allows members to train more effectively and prepare for competitions.

Sabin has been training actively for only about a year and a half. During his preparation, he underwent seven to nine training sessions per week. To focus on the championship, he skipped a school excursion. He stated that the decision was difficult, but he made it with the support of his coaches and parents, and he does not regret it.

"The competition was tough, as the best from all countries come to the world championship. A large number of spectators created additional pressure, as I do not have much competitive experience," said Sabljić, a student in the fourth grade of the Electrotechnical School.

After the championship, he immediately returned to training. In December, he is expected to participate in a new tournament, and next year he plans to continue competing in the senior category.

Trainer Ivana Tadić highlighted that the championship in Jesolo brought together almost three thousand competitors, and that the junior category is becoming increasingly demanding as the international field of competitors expands.

Uni-Rest is already preparing for the European Championship in Northern Macedonia, where Luka Žuljević and Ante Buzov will compete. Tadić specifically highlighted the role of Miljen Šarac in the club's work, who has been with the club for 32 years.

"Miljen Šarac has put his heart and a large part of his life into the club. He has passed on great knowledge to the younger members, which they now use, and without him, they would not have achieved these results," said Tadić.
