Students on the undergraduate course in Information and Business Systems, at the Faculty of Organisation and Informatics, have developed a new educational application. The project, titled 'FOI History Game', is designed to educate users through an interactive experience.
A key feature of the development is the visualisation of space. A detailed virtual representation of the city of Varaždin has been created within the game, allowing users to explore the historical context in an interactive manner. This approach enables a deeper understanding of the historical facts associated with the city.
The technological foundation of the game is based on Roblox, a platform that has gained popularity due to its accessibility and the ability to create diverse virtual environments. The use of this technology has allowed the students to create a dynamic environment that is both informative and entertaining.
The objective of the project is clearly defined: the game serves as a tool for teaching history. Through interactive elements, users are introduced to historical facts in a manner more engaging than traditional learning methods. This approach to education opens up new possibilities for popularising historical heritage among a wider audience, particularly among younger people accustomed to digital media.
The project represents an example of how technological solutions can contribute to the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage, while simultaneously providing educational value through modern digital tools.
