The search for 18-year-old Lily Hooper, who went missing on the Southern Highlands in the Australian state of New South Wales, has been bolstered by new teams. Teams arrived at Nattah National Park on Saturday morning, expanding the efforts of local authorities who have been involved in the operation since Wednesday.
The young woman had left her home in south-west Sydney around 8:00 am on 12 August. Before setting off, Lily Hooper had informed her family that she intended to go for a walk in the local national park. However, no further news has been received from her, and her disappearance has caused concern among friends and family.
The park, where it is believed she may be, is located north-west of Mittagong. The terrain in this part of the Southern Highlands is known for its vastness and remote, difficult-to-access areas, which complicates the coordination and execution of rescue operations. The arrival of additional teams on Saturday represents a key step in the attempt to locate the missing person.
