Volkswagen has not yet issued an official recall or acknowledged a manufacturing defect in its vehicles. Nevertheless, a serious fault is being discussed among owners of certain models with petrol engines and manual gearboxes.

The issue was first highlighted by a mechanic from Riosecco. The technician, working at the Autoappennino workshop, has received several vehicles with identical symptoms in a short period, leading him to conclude that the issue is not a series of isolated, random incidents. He states that it is a systemic problem that could affect a larger number of vehicles.

According to the mechanic, the fault occurs after 60,000 kilometers. In a video posted on social media, the technician noted that he has received several Volkswagen vehicles with the exact same fault in recent months. He highlighted that the issue affected three out of three Volkswagen vehicles that had come to his workshop with the specified problem.
