Nissan has unveiled the new PIXO, a compact electric city car that comes with advanced technological features as standard. The vehicle, positioned in the European A-segment, further expands Nissan's range of fully electric vehicles in the European market.
The PIXO is the third variant of the sibling models, alongside the Renault Twingo and Dacia Spring, sharing the same platform and basic structure. However, unlike its relatives, the PIXO stands out as the first car in the European A-segment to feature built-in Google services and the Gemini system. This sets new standards in the class of small city cars, where such technology has previously been reserved for larger and more expensive models.
Alongside the Google services and the Gemini assistant, the PIXO comes standard with face recognition (Face ID), further simplifying access to the vehicle and personalisation of settings. Drivers will thus be able to enjoy an advanced user experience, including voice control, navigation, and other Google features integrated directly into the vehicle.
In terms of power, the PIXO offers a range of 259 km, making it a practical solution for everyday urban driving and shorter intercity trips. Fast charging at 50 kW is available in all trim levels, meaning drivers do not need to choose more expensive packages to gain access to fast charging. Additionally, the car comes with a one-pedal driving feature, which is particularly practical in urban conditions.
The interior of the vehicle is designed for flexibility and practicality. The PIXO features individually adjustable sliding rear seats, allowing the space to be adapted to the needs of passengers or cargo as required. This transforms the small city car into a versatile vehicle that can easily adapt to different situations, from daily errands to weekend trips.
The new Nissan PIXO combines advanced technology, practicality, and electric mobility, and its appearance on the market further reinforces Nissan's commitment to an electric future in Europe.
