The town of Mursko Središće has officially launched a tender for the award of student loans to support students during their studies. The tender, open to the academic year 2026/27, covers a total of ten available loans, aiming to provide financial support to a portion of the student population in this part of Croatia.

The criteria for participation in the tender are strictly defined. Candidates must hold Croatian citizenship and have had their residence in the area of the Town of Mursko Središće continuously for at least two years. These conditions ensure that support is directed exclusively at the local population meeting the specified residence requirements. Student loans are available to students enrolled in any discipline, regardless of whether the study is a university undergraduate, university academic, or professional study, and for all years of study.

The amount of the monthly student loan depends on the location of the study. For students studying in Zagreb, as well as for those studying in other cities within the Republic of Croatia or abroad, the loan amount is 200 euros per month. On the other hand, for students continuing their education in the towns of Čakovec and Varaždin, which are closer locations, the loan amount is 100 euros per month.

The allocation is based on the criteria of the candidate's material and social position, as well as their general performance in previous education. These criteria are key to assessing the need and suitability of each individual candidate. The mayor makes the final decision on the award of scholarships on the proposal of the scholarship committee, thereby ensuring transparency and expertise in the selection of beneficiaries.

The deadline for submitting applications is 2 October 2026 at 23:59. Applications can only be submitted online via a link on the town's official website. Documentation can be submitted in electronic form, which involves sending scanned copies of the required documents. This method of application submission facilitates the process for the candidate, allowing them to submit all necessary documents securely and quickly.

Candidates will be informed of the tender results within eight days of the decision being made. The written notification of results will be delivered no later than within 30 days from the closing of the tender. This period ensures that all candidates receive clear information about the outcomes of the competition within a reasonable timeframe, enabling them to plan further steps related to their education.
