The Women with Breast Cancer Association Narcissus Đurđevac held a charity event, 'Pink Ribbon Day', which marked the month of breast cancer awareness. The event was held as part of the 'Fruit Days' programme.

The fine weather attracted many residents and passers-by to the square, where association members distributed pink ribbons free of charge. This is a symbol of solidarity and support for women affected by breast cancer.

In addition to the ribbons, members distributed creative works and educational materials on the importance of regular check-ups. The event was supported by the Mayor of Đurđevac, Hrvoje Janči, and the president of the Đurđevac City Council, who is also a Member of Parliament, Željko Lacković.

The association's president, Đurđa Martinuš, stated that breast cancer does not respect age boundaries and is often referred to as the silent killer of women. She highlighted that prevention and regular check-ups remain the best protection.

The funds raised will be used by the association members to implement creative workshops, where various works are created and subsequently offered at charity events.

Following the event, the members continued their gathering at the Stari Grad fortress, where they relaxed with refreshments and cakes. The members of the association were treated to refreshments by the Municipality of Đurđevac.
