Neda Popović from Kadin Glavac near Drniš represented the Šibenik-Knin County over the past weekend at the 26th election for the most exemplary Croatian rural woman, which was held in Ilok. Although she did not win, she attracted significant public attention.

In Ilok, Neda Popović represented not only herself but also Kadin Glavac, the Drniš region, and the entire Šibenik-Knin County. In this way, she presented her homeland and the people from whom she originated at one of the most recognisable competitions of its kind in Croatia.

Her story is based on years of work and sacrifice. With her family, she has built and maintained a farm, while also raising six children. She remained faithful to her region, which was the basis of her participation in the election in Ilok.

Following the competition, she received words of support from Radio Drniš. Support did not wane from the public either, as comments following the publication were positive, confirming that, despite not winning, she left a strong impression.

Her performance in Ikon remains remembered not for the placement, but for the message it conveyed: dedication to family, work on the farm, and loyalty to the homeland.
