The Li-Sen County President, Ernest Petry, has directly responded to Most MP Zvonimir Troskot after the latter announced criminal complaints against several individuals, companies, and officials. The complaints were lodged in response to illegal waste management practices in the Lika region, with Petry himself named among those targeted in the reports.
The county president published his reaction on his Facebook profile, where he accused Troskot of populism and manipulating public opinion. According to Petri, the MP from Most is making false claims and attempting to gain political capital from the case of illegally dumped waste in Gospić.
Petry specifically criticised Troskot's conduct during the protest titled 'Walk for Gospić', which was organised by the civic initiative Gospić is Our Home. The county president claims that Troskot rode on a quad bike during part of the protest route, while giving statements to the press about the fight against crime. He described this behaviour as shameful.
In his statement, the Li-Sen county president questioned why certain politicians were omitted from the criminal complaints announced by Troskot. Additionally, Petri stated that Troskot was targeting workers, a move he considered unacceptable in the context of the fight against illegal waste management.
