The Split-Dalmatia Police reported on Friday that more than 38kg of various drugs were found and seized in seven separate police operations in the areas of Split, Makarska, Omiš, Dugopolje and Imotski over the past few days. Criminal investigations have implicated eight individuals.

Tino Milat, spokesperson for the Split-Dalmatia Police, stated that this is a record drug seizure for 2026 to date. He noted that a total of 155kg of various drugs has been seized this year.

Among the seized drugs, the largest quantities were cannabis, around 19kg, and amphetamine, around 17kg. Approximately 1.8kg of hashish and just over 32g of cocaine were also found. Across all seven proceedings, 19.1kg of cannabis, 17kg of amphetamine, 1.8kg of hashish and 32.55g of cocaine were seized.

Milat clarified that the eight suspects did not act as an organised group, but rather that these were separate cases. He stated that all incidents were completely distinct. Of the eight suspects, seven are men and one is a woman, and the proceedings were conducted by different organisational units of the police administration.
