Celine Dion fell on stage and forgot the lyrics to one of her iconic songs during a performance on Wednesday, 7 October, at the Pléiades Arena in Nanterre. The concert was part of her French tour.
The singer lost her balance and fell, but quickly got up, turned to the audience, and indicated with a thumbs-up that she was okay. A round of applause followed.
When it came to her major French hit "Pour que tu m'aimes encore", Celine Dion paused for a moment as she could not remember the beginning of a section of the song. The entire venue sang along in her place, and Dion accepted the audience's support with a smile and thanked them.
The singer has been facing stiff person syndrome in recent years, a rare neurological disorder that has seriously hindered her daily life and performances. After a break from concert activities, her return was long considered uncertain.
During the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics, she sang again to millions of viewers and performed Edith Piaf's "Hymne à l'amour". A total of 16 performances in one month are planned, with additional concerts scheduled for 2027. The singer has sold more than 260 million albums.
