Vinkovci is set to receive a cinema by the end of the year, as confirmed by the mayor, Josip Romić. The cinema will be located in the space of the Gradsko kazalište (City Theatre) Joza Ivakić, with the announcement made during the continuation of the 'Together for a Better Tomorrow' series of events.

The meetings continued with Mayor Romić and his team meeting with residents in the local communities of Lenija, Dvanest Radarstvenika, and Lapovci. At these meetings, projects already completed were presented, along with planned investments and responses to residents' suggestions. The aim of the series is to continue direct dialogue with citizens, listening to their suggestions and finding solutions for the further development of all parts of Vinkovci.

Speaking on investments in the Lenija area, Romić highlighted the renovation of the largest city park, the construction of new open-air pools and a kindergarten, and the expansion of the school, as well as the landscaping of the area for the future children's and youth centre. He also promised that the renovation of transport infrastructure, cycle paths, and public spaces would continue in the coming period.

In the local communities of Dvanest Radarstvenika and Lapovci, investment has so far focused on children's play areas, car parks, pedestrian crossings, and road safety. Further construction is planned for cycle paths, and the renovation of streets in the area. A key project for this part of the city, announced, is the 78 apartments in the POS (Croatian Housing Fund) social housing scheme.

Romić stressed that dialogue with citizens is important for identifying their needs and setting future priorities. He stated that there is still much work to be done, and that such meetings are extremely important. He added that they wish to hear what concerns residents, what they consider to be priorities, and where further steps can be taken.
