British sprinter Amy Hunt visited the England training camp on Wednesday, where she observed a training session and spoke with the team at lunch. England play their Nations Championship match against Australia on Sunday.

Hunt, who is 24, won four gold medals at the European Championships in Birmingham last year. Her visit is part of a series of sporting celebrities who have given Steve Borthwick and his team insight into their careers.

Ben Earl told BBC Sport that Hunt appeared excited. Fraser Dingwall told Earl that Hunt holds a degree from Cambridge. Richard Wigglesworth highlighted that the team always gets great energy when winners visit.

Other sporting stars visited England before their victory over New Zealand last autumn. Emma Raducanu, the 2021 US Open winner, visited the team at that time. During this year's Six Nations campaign, England football manager Thomas Tuchel and Olympic skeleton champion Matt Weston also visited Pennyhill Park.

On Wednesday, Leeds Rhinos assistants Chev Walker and Scott Grix also met with Borthwick and his staff. Walker briefly switched sports in 2006 to play for Bath. Players and coaches from the UK Armed Forces team also met with the coaching staff.

The UK Armed Forces play Belgium in a Remembrance Day match on 11 November at Kingsholm stadium in Gloucester. Borthwick and assistant Joe El-Abd will hold a training session for the UK Armed Forces at Sandhurst on Thursday.

England's match against the Wallabies is the first of four consecutive weekend matches in November. It is followed by fixtures against Japan, New Zealand and an undecided play-off opponent.
