Martin Baturina did not train at the Slavija (NK Slavija) stadium, and selector Slaven Bilić had 26 players at training. Doctor Tomislav Vlahović said that Baturina felt tired and had no temperature, leaving open the question of his appearance in Prague.
Baturina was expected to be in the starting lineup, but the selector said that Baturina was being assessed and that perhaps someone else would be in the initial lineup. Among the options for midfield, Vlašić and Mario Pašalić stand out, while striker Franjo Ivanović is also in play, being closest in position to what Baturina does in the Coma (HNK Cibalia).
Andrej Kramarić is also mentioned, but it is unclear how many minutes Bilić intends to give him, given that after surgery at the club he has played little and is only just returning to match rhythm. This gives the selector several different solutions, depending on whether Baturina will be ready to start the match.
Luka Modrić trained, and at the very beginning of training the selector embraced Modrić and spoke with him. Modrić is envisioned as a starter, and if he were not a starter, it could be an opportunity for Josip Mišić. There are other options as well, with Petar Sučić and Mario Pašalić.
The weather in Prague is cool but pleasantly autumnal, ideal for play, which could suit the pace of the match. Despite that, the biggest unknown remains the midfield lineup and whether Baturina, despite his fatigue, will nonetheless earn the starting XI's trust.
