Two Champions League matches are being played tonight from 18:45. Italian side Como host Manchester United at their Giuseppe Sinigaglia stadium, while in the other match, French side Lille host Turkish club Galatasaray.
The match in Como is particularly interesting for Croatian fans as Martin Baturina starts for the home team against Manchester United. Both teams enter the match with an equal number of points (3) and an identical goal difference of +2. In the other fixture, Lille and Galatasaray have yet to earn a point in the two rounds of the Champions League this season. Lille will field Ozer, Verdonk, Ribeiro, Ngoy, Goffi, B. Andre, Bentaleb, Diaoune, Mukau, Bakwa and Haraldsson, while Galatasaray line up with Cakir, Jakobs, Bardakci, Sanchez, Sallai, Torreira, Sara, Yilmaz, Batrakov, Akgun and Osimhen.
Como faces significant injury problems in the offensive sector before the match. Jesús Rodríguez was injured in training ahead of the game, and manager Cesc Fabregas confirmed that the situation does not look good. Assane Diao and Moise Kean are also unavailable due to injury, while Maxence Caqueret and Jayden Addai are not registered for the Champions League.
Italian newspaper La Provincia di Como reports that Fabregas is considering several tactical solutions due to the injury issues, including using the Croatian international in a false nine role. Baturina has mostly played in midfield or behind the striker so far, but he could now get a chance at the tip of the attack.
Fabregas refused to answer one question at the press conference. "I do not want to answer that question. It is a bad question. You do not have respect for a great player and manager, Michael Carrick. We have a historic day ahead, and I want to stay in Como for as long as possible," he said.
