Athletes from Atletski klub Biograd (Biograd Athletics Club) achieved new successes on Saturday, with the most medals coming from the Dalmatia Cross Country Championship held in Ljupča. The results of that competition were simultaneously counted for the Zadar County Championship, meaning the Biograd athletes won medals at two levels.

In the U15 category, Dorian Pribilović (born 2019) made the podium in both rankings. He won third place at the Dalmatia Championship, while he was even more successful in the Zadar County competition, taking second place. This confirmed that he is one of the most promising young runners in the club.

Bronze was also brought back to Biograd by Nikol Lokin (born 2016) and Noa Aljinović (born 2019), who returned with county bronze medals. Their results rounded off the successful appearance of the young categories on the cross country course in Ljupča.

The most notable result was achieved by Damir Aljinović in the veterans' competition, where he won two golds and thus became the champion of Dalmatia and Zadar County. Aljinović is also the coach of the Biograd athletes, so he combined success on the track with the role that binds him to the entire team.

On the same day in Šibenik, the popular Šibenska Desetka was held, where AK Biograd veteran Natalija Gulan won fifth place in the women's competition. Her result completed the series of good performances by Biograd athletes that day.

After the competition, Aljinović stated that he was most pleased by the fact that they are competitive in all age categories. He explained that this is the result of continuous work, training, participation in competitions, sacrifice and the enthusiasm of everyone in and around the club.

In addition to the official awards for their successes, Aljinović was also rewarded with a gift from his athletes – a child's drawing with a thank you to the "best coach".
