In seven matches played in the evening session, the biggest attention was drawn to Bosnia and Herzegovina's 1-0 win over Poland in Group B4, while France and Italy secured convincing victories in Group A1.
Bosnia and Herzegovina secured the win with a goal from Bašić from a penalty in the 84th minute. The penalty was awarded following a VAR check for a handball by Kiwior in the penalty area. Bašić took the kick, shooting to the right and hitting the target for the Bosnia and Herzegovina lead in the closing stages. Goalkeeper Bulka guessed the correct side but was unable to stop the powerful shot. Previously, Bosnia had led through a goal by Tabak, but it was disallowed for offside — during the cross, Demirović was in an offside position, and the referee judged that he had influenced the play. Zlomislić made a great save, and Poland had chances through Frankowski and Nowak, but Bosnia held firm.
In Group A1, France beat Belgium 4-1. Luke Bakke put Belgium ahead in the 35th minute after Lavia sent the ball into space behind the French defence, and Bakke, stepping out, shot past the goalkeeper Reste with a powerful strike. France turned the game around in the final stages: Doue, in the 77th minute, received the ball 17 yards from goal, turned, and with a left-footed shot, scored past Vandenberg for 1-1. Cherki, in the 81st minute, shot first and scored after a poor reaction from the goalkeeper, giving France the lead. Olise, in the 88th minute, passed to the right, entered the penalty area, and then, in the 90th+1 minute, scored 3-1 from a few yards. Olise also assisted the second goal.
Italy, in the same group, defeated Turkey 3-1. Scamacca put the Italians ahead in the 26th minute — after a cross from the right wing into the penalty area, the ball was controlled, and the shot, hitting the post, resulted in a goal for 1-0. Simse equalised in the 61st minute: Celik crossed the ball from the right side of the penalty area, Elmali passed the ball from the penalty spot, and Simse scored into the unguarded part of the net for 1-1. Calafiori scored for 2-1 in the 64th minute — a free kick from the right side, 30 yards out, was taken by Barella, and Calafiori, with a header, scored for 2-1. Pio Esposito, in the 87th minute, scored on a Roman assist for the final 3-1.
In Group B2, Northern Ireland and Georgia played to a 0-0 draw, while Ukraine lost to Hungary 1-2. Milan Toth scored for the lead in Hungary in the 52nd minute — Vitalis sent the ball to the Hungarian attacker, who scored through the legs of Trubin for the guests' lead. Jaremchuk equalised in the 83rd minute, but Csinger scored in the 85th minute for the Hungarian victory.
In Group B4, Romania lost to Sweden 0-1. Gyokeres scored the first goal in the evening matches in the 13th minute — a dangerous cross by Bernadsson to the far post was received by Zeneli, and Gyokeres then, from a few yards, scored into the empty net for the lead in the guest team.
