A black Mercedes was involved in a traffic accident on Millhouse Woods Lane in Cottingham, East Yorkshire, near the Hull City training camp. According to BBC reports, the vehicle belongs to 23-year-old midfielder Lucas Gourna-Douath.

Photos from the scene show the car ended up on its side. One person told the BBC that the vehicle had struck and damaged a local resident's car.

Hull City stated in a statement that the club was "aware of the footage circulating on social media following a traffic accident near the training camp" and that it could confirm no one was injured in the incident. Humberside Police stated that emergency services were called at 08:30 GMT.

The accident follows a similar incident in September involving a player from the same club, Sorba Thomas, also on the same road.

Paul Nickerson, who lives on the street where the accident occurred, said: "I arrived immediately after it overturned because I heard the noise." He added: "If it had happened a minute earlier, my wife would have been walking along the road with our children. That is really worrying."

Tracey Evans has lived on that street for 19 years. She stated that for about 10 years she has been calling for a reduction in the speed limit. "At that time, children come and go to school, parents return," she said. She added that measures needed to be taken to "prevent something happening in the future."
