A serious traffic accident occurred on Friday afternoon on the A3 motorway. The incident took place on the 190th kilometre of the southern carriageway, specifically at the Lužani junction, in the direction of Lipovac between the Nova Gradiška and Slavonski Brod junctions. Two vehicles were involved, and the Brod-Posavina Police Department confirmed the incident.

The consequences of the crash were severe, with one child dying. Several other people were injured, with conditions ranging from severe to minor. One person was taken to the intensive care unit at the general hospital in Slavonski Brod. That individual is currently receiving treatment for severe injuries and is in a stable condition.

Two other people with minor injuries were also treated at the general hospital in Slavonski Brod. To ensure adequate care and support, all those injured will be provided with psychological support. The on-site investigation is still ongoing, with police gathering all necessary details regarding the causes and circumstances of the incident.

Due to the crash, significant congestion has developed on that section of the motorway. Drivers are advised to drive slowly, as a queue of vehicles has formed that is 4 kilometres long. The situation on the road is being monitored, and traffic authorities are working to restore normal traffic flow as soon as possible following the completion of the on-site investigation.
