The quarter-final of the NS KZŽ Cup between Klanjec and Gaj Mače ended in a 0-1 result. Gaj Mače advanced to the semi-finals, with the only goal scored by Cicnjak in the 19th minute.
Klanjec, who are ranked two divisions below Gaj, played a competitive match. In the 4th minute, Šinko took a good shot, but Strahonja saved it to a corner. Following that corner, Štih hit the crossbar. In the next attack, F. Pavlinić shot, but was narrowly off target. In the 7th minute, Brlek threatened with a header, but Strahonja saved the attempt, deflecting it into a corner.
The guests threatened for the first time in the 16th minute when a long ball was played by Sambole, with Tomaš shooting his head straight at the Travnikar. From the second long ball in the 19th minute, the guests took the lead. The Klanjec defence initially repelled the first attack, but the ball rebounded to Cicnjak, who hit the net to make it 0-1. In the 39th minute, Turčin broke free from his marker on the left side and advanced towards the goal, with Travnikard blocking his attempt. Two minutes later, Hrabist provided a usable pass for Šaban, but Travnikard was once again on the spot. Towards the end of the half, K. Pavlinić threatened, but Strahonja easily defended the shot.
In the 49th minute, Brlek tested Strahonja from distance, but the ball went out for a corner. Two minutes later, Abramović shot poorly from a good position. In the 54th minute, a corner was taken from the left by F. Pavlinić; first, Matečić shot dangerously, and the guests deflected the ball into a new corner after which the shot by Šink was stopped by the bar. In the 57th minute, Abramović found Turčin well on the left side, who passed well, but the home block first cleared the shot by Hmura, and then that of Abramović. In the 62nd minute, F. Pašlin threatened, but the block by Gaj pushed it into the corner. Four minutes later, Kovač threatened with a header following a corner, but the home block was on the spot.
In the 73rd minute, Hmura advanced towards the goal but shot poorly. Six minutes later, F. Pašlin made a good pass to Šink, who shot with his head, but Strahonja saved it. Hmura threatened again in the 82nd minute, but again shot poorly. A minute later, Hrabist provided a usable pass to Knežević, who shot into the block. Markulin made a dangerous counter-attack in the 87th minute, passing to the left to Hrabist, but he shot into the block.
Today, two other matches in the quarter-finals of the Zagorje Cup were played. In Sveti Križ Začretje, in a match between two fourth-tier teams, Jedinstvo and Bedekovčina, 90 minutes passed without goals, leading to a dramatic penalty shootout. The first five shooters were accurate: Dlesk, Vukić, and Sink for Jedinstvo, while Mlinarić and Frančina scored for Bedekovčina. Kereša did not score for Bedekovčina, while Vinc was accurate for Jedinstvo. Tump had a match ball for the home team but did not score, while Frtalj scored for the guests, extending the series. After that, D. Vorih and Kralj were accurate, but not Gregorić. Jurin had a match ball for the guests, but again no goal, so the series continued. Cigula and Per were accurate in the eighth series, while Bivol and Suntešić in the ninth. Pilski brought Jedinstvo to 8:7 in the tenth series, and after him, Voloder did not score, so Jedinstvo advanced to the semi-finals.
Zagorec KR passed through Konjščina routinely. Against the home side, the score was 5-0. Antonio Sinković put Zagorec ahead in the 28th minute. Yevhenii Levytskyi increased the lead in the 35th minute to 0-2. In the second half, Jura Štimac scored in the 69th minute to make it 0-3. Niko Pavić scored in the 80th minute for 0-4. Štimac scored his second goal in the 90th minute, setting the final score at 0-5. The remaining match in the quarter-finals between Oštrac and Golubac will take place on 4 November.
