Hajduk defeated Croatian side Croatian Zejčani 3-0 in a friendly match. The match was played at the ŠRC Marijan Šuto Mrma stadium in front of around 2,000 spectators.

Goals for Hajduk were scored by Marko Livaja in the 23rd minute, Anđelo Šutalo in the 53rd minute, and Peter Nnaemeka Ugwuodo in the 87th minute. Hajduk's coach Gonzalo Garcia commented that it was a good match, but also that there were bad things about the team that needed to work on.

García expressed satisfaction with the energy in the press and highlighted that the opponent did not let go of their half. Added, however, that there were moments when they were poorly organized. He was happy with the players who entered the pitch from the bench and the young players.

Particular was the debut of Roze Gabrić, 19-year-old Hajduk's defender and graduate of the club's football school. Gabrić played his first senior match last season, and this season he played three matches. He was surprised when García gave him the captain's armband, and in the junior team he was the leader.

García spoke about him with great respect, calling him a true example of how a player should behave. "It is good to have such a captain," said the coach of Hajduk.
