Hajduk defeated Gorica 5-0 at Poljud in the 12th round of the SuperSport HNL to maintain their lead at the top of the league table.
Hajduk took the lead in the 22nd minute when Adam Huram scored from a Mathieu Acapandja cross from the right, with goalkeeper Josipović misjudging the flight of the ball. The goal was confirmed after a VAR review. In the 33rd minute, Abdoulie Sanyang Bamba scored the second goal, which was initially disallowed for offside but was eventually awarded following a multi-minute VAR check. On that play, Livaja set up Martin, who assisted Bamba.
Carlos Martin scored in the 38th minute. Martin then added another in the 50th minute. Anđelo Šutalo scored in the 70th minute after a combination with Hodak on the right flank, beating Josipović with a shot.
In the 11th minute, Livaja went down in the penalty area after a duel with Frigan, who pulled him by the shirt, but referee Dragašević did not award a penalty and VAR did not intervene. Acapandja and Bamba won the ball from Cvijanović, who remained lying on the pitch. Filipović received a yellow card in the 17th minute, while Bamba was booked in the 63rd minute for simulation.
