Ulster were defeated by the Stormers 33-7 in a United Rugby Championship match in Cape Town. It was the second loss of Ulster's tour of South Africa, following their defeat by the Bulls in Pretoria the previous week.

The Stormers scored five tries, with Schickerling, De Villiers, Roos, R Nel and Ahmed on the try sheet. Ahmed converted four. Ulster scored one try, with McCann the scorer, and Murphy converting. The half-time score was Stormers 12, Ulster 7.

David McCann scored the first points of the match. However, TMO overturned a try by Matthew Devine from open play because the play was stopped for a scrum infringement. Cormac Izuchukwu dropped the ball on the line, and Ulster were awarded four consecutive penalties. Keynan Knox was sent to the sin bin.

JD Schickerling scored a try, and Ahmed added the conversion. Paul de Villiers blocked Murphy's clearance attempt and scored a try. Devine made a blindside pass that was picked up by Roos, who scored a converted try. Evan Roos scored the Stormers' third try a few minutes after the start of the second half.

Ahmed executed a precise, well-judged kick across the field that was caught by team captain Ruhan Nel, who scored a bonus-point try. Izuchukwu was denied a consolation point as he was held above the line. Ahmed scored the fifth try and converted it. The match referee was Sam Grove-White.

Ulster came into the match without their Irish internationals, who had reported for the upcoming Nations Championship fixtures. Ulster had played five home matches, which resulted in three defeats and two draws. The Stormers have achieved their fourth win in five URC matches. Ulster's next chance for a first league victory is on 5 December when they visit Cardiff.
