The women’s team of ŽNK Donat suffered their first home defeat of the season. In the fifth round of the Supersport Prva HNLŽ, they were defeated by ŽNK Haj from Split with a score of 0-2 (0-2).
The match was decided in the first half-hour of the first half. The goals for the visiting side were scored by Marković in the 17th minute, securing a 0-1 lead, and Čanje in the 26th minute, who extended the lead to 0-2. The visitors from Split hit the bar several times, so the final result could have been more convincing.
The match was officiated by Niko Rad from Šibenik, with Mikula Št from Trib and Ante Sever from Vod as assistants. The match delegate was Jure Ze from Knin. Yellow cards were shown to Mija Pe from Donat and Laura Vlas from Hajduk. 150 spectators watched the match at Višnjik.
ŽNK Donat’s coach Jurica Vula sent out a 4-2-3-1 formation: Vidović (off for Adamović in the 86th) – Buljat, Kanjer, Veraja, Alić (off for Filip in the 63rd) – Dadi, Pe – Petrovi (off for Drag in the 70th), Skopljak, Bulum – Blai. The visiting side was led by Damir Mat, and Haj played in the same 4-2-3-1 formation: Kala – Prskalo, Pedi, Br – Kuk, Vlas (off for Bak in the 55th) – Ž (off for Ka in the 55th), Van (off for Ba in the 66th, off for Do in the 77th), Čanje – Marković (off for Vlač in the 77th).
Hajduk are the current national champions and participants in the Champions League qualifiers, which adds extra weight to this defeat. The loss to the Split side is Donat’s second consecutive defeat, after they lost to Dinamo in Zagreb in the previous round.
After five played matches, ŽNK Donat have a record of two wins, two defeats and one draw, which brings them a total of seven points. In the next, sixth round, the girls from Zadar will travel to play against Međimurje Čakovec on Saturday, 27 September. Donat’s first home match will be played on Sunday, 4 October, when Zagreb’s Agram come to Višnjik.
