Jadran water polo players defeated Medveščak 19-10 in the sixth round of the Croatian Championship, played at Poljud. The Split side thus secured another three points in the league.

Coach Marelja decided to play the match with a rejuvenated squad. He rested a number of first-team players, leaving Semana, Radan, Zović and Popadić on the bench. Anić, Butić and Matković were largely rested and managed in the rotation, while Lapčić, Bojčić and Domazet played their first senior match of the season.

Despite the changed lineup, the hosts won with ease. The last tension occurred in the fourth minute of the match at a score of 2-2, after which Jadran went on a 3-0 mini-run, scored by Skejić, Požarić and Lapčić, to reach 5-2 and take control.

The most in-form individuals in the Split side were Skejić and Požarić, who each scored 5 goals. Katunarić added 4 goals, rounding off the home team's convincing performance.

Medveščak remained at the bottom of the table with just two points after the defeat. Jadran, meanwhile, recorded five wins, or 15 points, after six rounds.

Jadran's next challenge is the quarter-final of the Cup against city rivals POŠK. The match is played on Wednesday, 4 November, at Poljud, starting at 20:00.
