Hajduk recorded their second victory in European competition, beating Thun away from home. Dalisson’s goal in the 17th minute proved sufficient for the win, and the hosts failed to find an answer to that strike until the final whistle.

Dalisson struck in the first half, and his goal proved decisive. The match was played in Switzerland, where the players had to adapt to artificial turf and the cold, two factors that further complicated the conditions on the pitch.

Hajduk have thus continued their run of good results. In their last 11 matches, they have recorded 10 wins, with Dinamo, Ajax and Varaždin among the beaten opponents. Despite the good result, Michele Šego missed a penalty in the second half.

Marko Livaja said there was no reason to complain about reduced playing time when the team is doing well without him. He also stated that he respects the manager’s decision, making it clear that the team comes first.

Hajduk’s next opponent is Lincoln in Gibraltar. In the meantime, Hajduk managed to postpone their match against Istra 1961 to Monday, with the important game to be played in Pula. The tight fight for the top of the HNL is actually only just beginning.
