Former Birmingham City winger Jordan Graham is in hospital following a serious road traffic accident, the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) announced in a statement issued on behalf of Graham's family.
The 31-year-old is receiving specialist treatment following the incident, which took place earlier this month. 'His family are extremely grateful for the care he is receiving,' the PFA statement said.
The family have asked for privacy via the PFA. 'They are asking for privacy and for people not to contact them directly while they focus entirely on Jordan and his recovery,' the statement said, adding that 'further information will be provided only when appropriate'.
Graham played 49 matches in the Championship for Birmingham City between 2021 and 2023, having joined the club from Gillingham. A product of the Aston Villa academy, he has also played for Wolves, for whom he made 17 appearances. He has also been on loan at Ipswich Town, Bradford City, Oxford United and Fulham, with a total of 188 career appearances. He has not played since leaving Leyton Orient in 2025.
Reactions from clubs have poured in from all sides. Gillingham issued a statement saying: 'Everyone at the club is thinking of Jordan and his family at this moment' and added: 'We wish him a full and speedy recovery.' Leyton Orient, meanwhile, posted a short message of support: 'We are all with you, JG.'
