Ivana Tubikanec of STK Jaska won the silver medal at the 24th Samobor City Grand Prix. She placed second in the senior category, securing a medal at one of the traditional tournaments on the Croatian table tennis calendar.
The tournament in Samobor is held under the name Stanko Eskulić Memorial, with this year marking its 24th edition. It is a competition included in the calendar of the Croatian Table Tennis Association (Hrvatski stolnoteniski savez), confirming its status within the domestic competitive system.
In addition to being part of the official calendar, the tournament was rated for the senior rankings, with a coefficient of 0.7. This meant that the results achieved in Samobor had a direct impact on the order of the national ranking list in the senior competition.
Ivana Tubikanec thus reached second place in Samobor, confirming her participation in a tournament that gathers table tennis players from domestic competition. Her result brought STK Jaska a new medal from this event.
Andrea Pavlović, an occasional member of the Croatian national team, finished ahead of Ivana Tubikanec. Pavlović competes in Austria, where she plays for club Linz AG Froschberg, so her participation in Samobor further raised the level of competition in the senior category.
