The 11th Sječni Day took place in Tuhelj, an event that attracted numerous visitors and created an exceptionally pleasant atmosphere. The gathering brought together associations, exhibitors, volunteers, and lovers of Zagorje tradition, with the aroma of home cooking filling the air and enhancing the experience.

The programme was rich and varied, with one of the main highlights being the goulash cooking competition. Thirteen teams participated in this discipline, with the battle for victory proving highly competitive. In the end, the first place was taken by the Tuhelj Retirees' Association, which received 220 points out of a possible 240 for their preparation.

The second place in the goulash cooking competition went to the Naša Lipa cultural and artistic society from Tuhelj with 218.5 points, while the third place was taken by the Kolovrat association with 205.5 points. The differences between the top three were minimal, indicating the high standard of preparation among all participants.

The competition in preparing the traditional walnut roll (orehnjača) generated significant interest, with a record number of participants this year. A total of 17 competitors vied for the title of best baker, with the victory going to Štefica Žlender from the Retirees' Association. She achieved 113 points out of a maximum of 120 for her walnut roll.

The second place in the walnut roll category went to a member of the Retirees' Association, Milkica Vincetić, who scored 107 points. The third place was taken by Željana Iveković, with 102.5 points, meaning the Retirees' Association dominated this traditional culinary discipline as well.
