A traditional event, 'Village Day', was held in the small settlement of Mali Subot. Although the weather conditions were variable throughout the day, with rain present, the organisers managed to hold the event, which attracted numerous visitors. The event encompassed several activities, with the central part of the programme being a cooking competition.
A total of 13 teams competed in the traditional dish cooking contest, known as goulash. The participants prepared their dishes throughout the day, striving to highlight special recipes. Due to the high level of competition and the richness of the flavours, the task for the jury was extremely challenging. The expert panel had to carefully assess each approach to select the best among the many submitted variants, which required a high level of expertise and objectivity.
In addition to the competitive element, the event offered cultural content. Visitors had the opportunity to enjoy a musical performance, with a particular highlight being the performance by the band Show Time. This musical element complemented the overall experience of the festival, creating a pleasant atmosphere despite the rainy conditions.
The organisation of the entire event was taken on by local enthusiasts and associations. The main organisers were NK Spartak, the Band from the Municipality of Mali Subot, and the local board of Mali Subot. Their collaboration ensured the smooth running of all planned activities, from the cooking competition to the musical performances, ensuring the event was a success for participants and visitors alike.
