Koprivnički Bregi were once again the host of Cabbage Days and Bregovska Pie Days, an event that gathered lovers of cabbage specialities throughout the day. This year’s 29th edition attracted visitors keen on traditional flavours, with the central event being a concert by the popular tamburitza band Mejaši.
Mejaši performed in wellington boots, a distinctive part of their stage persona, further heating up the atmosphere among the crowd. Their concert was held as part of the event programme, with the audience enjoying familiar melodies despite the weather conditions.
Rain had been falling for hours, but this did not prevent a good time. Organisers and visitors showed that bad weather cannot stop the fun when it comes to such an event. Umbrellas and waterproof jackets were no barrier to dancing and singing.
Cabbage Days and Bregovska Pie Days have nurtured local gastronomic traditions for nearly three decades, and this year’s edition was particularly dedicated to lovers of cabbage dishes. Throughout the day, visitors could enjoy various specialities, with the evening concert crowning the entire event.
The concert by Mejaši in wellies marked the close of this year’s edition of the most delicious event in the municipality. This once again confirmed that Koprivnički Bregi know how to organise an event that attracts visitors from across the region, regardless of inclement weather.
