The past weekend saw the finale of Moslavina Fest, an event organised by the Ivanić-Grad Tourist Board, along with the municipalities of Kloštar Ivanić and Križ.

The event featured a fair of family farms, artisans, local products and handicrafts, alongside activities for children. As part of the finale, a contest for the best traditional dessert was held, featuring a traditional dessert made from corn flour and homemade plum jam, previously a staple of humble cuisine.

22 entries were judged, with the best selected by a panel that included Deputy County Prefect Damir Tomljenović. The panel selected and awarded three top entries, with the first place going to the dessert by Ivana Jakšić from Sobočana.

Tomljenović highlighted that such events bring people together, preserving tradition and passing on family recipes from generation to generation.

The head of the local administration, Jasna Haleš, highlighted that the municipality is currently thriving, not only through events and festivals but also through concrete projects. She noted that in the past 15 months the municipality has received over 1.5 million euros in external funding.
