The 17th edition of the traditional gathering in Žrnović broke the previous record for attendance, attracting over 600 fans of vocal music. The event, held in the ambience of a historic mill over half a millennium old, gathered the best ensembles from the Dalmatian region, creating a unique cultural atmosphere under specific weather conditions. Although the temperature was 33 degrees, the attendees were refreshed by the fenna breeze that blew during the duration of the event.
The gathering was organized by the Žrnović Association together with numerous volunteers, and the programme included performances by seven established vocal groups. The audience was treated to performances by the Klapa Sveti Florijan from Žrnović, Neverin from Kaštel Stari, Mriža from Split, Stivanje from Trogir, Mirabella from Omis, Stobreč, and Okrug. Each performance was awarded a symbolic gift, and each klapa received a handcrafted apple made by the artist Jagoda Mihanović.
A special part of the programme was the 'mixing of kape,' an interactive workshop led by Mariola Milardović Perić. With the help of a member of the Žrnović Association, Kažimira, the director selected members for two newly formed kape – Glavic and Rakite – with nine members each from the participating groups. This activity allowed for the merging of different musical traditions and the creation of new musical partnerships.
The klapa Okrup had a special feature, performing songs for the audience with 'rugs,' adding a humorous note to the traditional repertoire. After the performance of all participants and new formations, the evening concluded with a concert by the legendary kape Cambi, which brought the successful organization of the event in the heart of Žrnović to a close.
