In Klanjec, on Saturday, the second in the series of sports and recreational races, titled '6 Hours of Cesargrad', was held, which was part of the 25th 'Autumn Gratitude' event. The challenge attracted a significantly larger number of participants than last year, among whom were also more runners.

The goal of the race was to achieve as many ascents as possible within six hours, starting from the beginning of the gravel road towards Cesargrad up to the mountain lodge. Each ascent is 1.2 km long and has a height difference of approximately 120 metres. The particularity of this competition is that each participant chooses when to start and at what pace, making the race accessible to different levels of fitness.

This year's edition gathered almost 30 more participants than last year. The county president, Željko Kolar, also participated in the race, achieving 12 ascents and thus breaking his previous year's result of 11 ascents.

The most ascents were achieved by the head of the Department for the County President's Office and the County Assembly, Karlo Frljužec, who reached Cesargrad 19 times. This is equal to the result of Petar Antolić, who set the race record with 19 ascents.

In the men's category, the second place was taken by Marko Fanjkutić with 18 ascents, while the third was Marko Vuk with 16 ascents. In the women's category, the victory went to Maja Kolar with 16 ascents, the second was Mia Leljak with 15 ascents, and the third place, with 15 ascents, was shared by Ivana Kuhta and Tihana Turk.

The youngest participant was Erik Pešek, who achieved 11 ascents, while the oldest participant, Milan Husnjak, achieved three ascents. In total, the participants made 693 ascents during the six hours, covering a total of 1,663 km.
